Services offered by Innovation in Recreation:

 

 

  • Pre-Survey – Following State and Federal Guidelines, Innovation in Recreation will send a consultant into your facility to perform a one day Pre-Survey.  The results of the Pre-Survey will identify any potential deficient areas the Activity Department may have during a State or Federal Survey.  In addition to the identification of problem areas, recommendation for problem resolution will also be offered in writing during the exit interview.
  • Activity Department Evaluation  Innovation in Recreation will send a consultant into your facility for one day to evaluate and summarize in writing overall departmental strengths as well as potential problem areas. Any problem area can be followed-up with recommendations, per administrative approval, for improvement.
  • On-going Consultative Services – Ongoing consultation is provided to facilities by a consultant working with Innovation in Recreation.  Area of concentration include:  Regulation compliance, individual and group program development, documentation and care planning, volunteer management, resource and budget management, and much, much more.  Visits can occur monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly.  A written report of each visit summarizes findings and recommendations.
  • Volunteer Management – If you would like to increase the usage of volunteers in your facility yet have limited time to make this a reality, consider contracting a consultant with Innovation in Recreation to do some of the leg work for you.  Our consultants are trained to organize a volunteer program that includes recruitment, orienting, training, supervising and recognizing volunteers. 
  • Temporary Fill-In Position – Innovation in Recreation offers a staff member, on a first come, first serve basis to step into your facility and carry out the job responsibilities of an Activity Staff member who is on a temporary leave of absence, sick leave or vacation.  In addition to conducting activities, this fill-in staff member can assist with documentation, program planning and calendar development, supervision of other staff members as well as any other task as needed.
